Defensive driving is driving to save lives, time and money in spite of the conditions around the driver and the actions of others. This program “Defensive Driving Course (DDC)” is specially designed for drivers who already know how to drive. It is designed to sharpen their driving skills to prevent collisions and lessen the severity of collisions, avoiding the tragic costs in human life, misery and financial expenses that motor accidents incur.

- know and be able to apply (DDC) collision prevention formula:
- Through their ability to recognize hazards and understand the defensive technique applicable and act in time.
- know and apply two-second rule
- know the split-second decision
- Use the four R’s to prevent head-on collision
- identify various prescription drugs and their potential side effects on driving
- understand breath alcohol content and its effects on driving
- drive in emergency situations and manage their vehicles out of dangerous zones to safety

- The 30km/h collision exercise
- Art of overtaking, using the 4R’s rules
- Stopping Distance: How close is too close
- The Two-second rule
- The two-second plus rule
- Driving in emergencies
- Following distance exercise
- Road safety and traffic regulations:
- Using the revised highway codes
- Traffic sign test
- Driving and drinking
- Breath alcohol content and its side effect on driving
- Prescription drugs and their potential side effects on driving
- Exercise: Reaction time test
- The mystery crash
- Developing a defensive driving attitude
- Defensive driving course:
- Post-course evaluation test
