Course Overview
The Forklift Operator course covers requirements relating to the design, maintenance, and safe use of forklift trucks. It is designed to help delegates learn to evaluate the workplace and determine if loads can be safely moved. It includes: inspection of the equipment, lift limitations; understanding fulcrum and centre of gravity along with safe operation in all phases of using the lift. The participant will be responsible for demonstrating the proper use and inspection of the lift he will be using. A forklift is a powerful tool that allows the movement and storage of product and materials efficiently and safely, provided that the employer provides the correct equipment and properly trains its operators. The main purpose of this forklift operator training is to create awareness on the risks associated with driving a forklift.
